FAQ's

1. How do I register and what information do I need to provide?

To register go to book online page and fill out the registration form. We will request the following information; 

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Mobile number

  • Dog(s) name(s)

  • Your dog(s) vaccination/titre test details via JPEG or PDF upload

We ask for these details in order to be able to send you the access code for your booking and as an additional precaution to ensure the safety of the dogs that attend the park.

2. How do I book?

Once registered, (or if already registered) click on any of the book now buttons or book online at the top of the page. You will be taken to our services page where you can select which park you would like to reserve.

You will then be shown our live diary to check the availability of your preferred date and time. If that slot is free you can go ahead to secure it before moving on to the payment page to complete your booking.

3. What happens on the day of my booking?

You will have received an email from us the day before your visit with a unique access code specific to your allocated slot and chosen park. 

On the day of your visit please arrive onsite no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your time slot. This allows space and time for the previous owners and dogs to exit calmly and safely.

You can drive directly onto the site and can park immediately outside your chosen park. 

Enter your access code into the combination lock, enter the park and lock the gate behind you.

4. What can I use the park for?

Both the agility and explorer parks bring different experiences for you dog(s). However, both parks can also be used for the following;

  • Playing with ball

  • Recall Training

  • Lead training

  • Exploration/Free roaming

  • Secure off lead time

  • Exclusive use - No other dogs will be in your chosen park with you

Great for;

  • Reactive dogs

  • Dogs with poor recall

  • Nervous dogs

  • Elderly dogs

  • Dogs recovering from illness

What can I not use the parks for?

  • Grooming

  • Non positive based training methods

5. How many dogs can I bring?

You are able to have 4 dogs in one park at any one time. The cost is the same if you bring 1 or 4 dogs. Should you wish to bring more than 4 dogs we can accommodate up to 8 if both parks are booked simultaneously.

Please note; we will require proof of vaccinations/titre tests for any dogs attending the parks.

6. How do I get there?

Odin Valley Dog Parks are located half way along Green Lane in East Boldon. 

We recommend driving there, use post code NE36 0BT and follow the signs to the park.

Please note Green Lane is a narrow rural lane with an uneven surface, please take care and reduce your speed as you turn off the main road. Be prepared to give way to oncoming traffic and be courteous to our neighbours.

7. What do I need to bring?

Necessary

8. Is there onsite parking?

Yes. We have 7 allocated parking bays. Overflow parking onto a grass surface will be made available in the summer 

9. How do I get in touch if I encounter a problem on the day?

There is no staff onsite permanently, however should you encounter a problem we would recommend initially calling 07799 227418 to speak to the on call member of staff. The site is likely to be fully manned on a weekend if you prefer to have someone present.

10. How do amend or cancel my booking?

We understand your plans can change unexpectedly so you can amend or cancel your booking up to 48 hours in advance. Cancellations are subject to a 50p admin charge. We are unable to offer a refund with less than 48 hours notice. This includes cancellations or rescheduling due to bad weather, we recommend you check the local forecast prior to the 48 exclusion period.

11. Can I book more than 1 slot?

Yes, you can book multiple individual slots. To ensure fair use for everybody we ask that you book no more than 4 slots at one time. If you require more than 4 slots please contact us directly at info@odinvalley.com.

12. What amenities are on site?

As Odin Valley Dog Parks are located in rural setting there is no;

 

  • Electricity

  • Running water

  • Toilets

  • Cafe

We do have:

  • Onsite parking

  • Waste bins

  • Disposable gloves

  • Hand Sanitiser

13. Is the site fully accessible?

The site is accessible by car with free parking. Entrance to the Agility Park is via a solid walkway with a small, gentle slope onto the grass. The Explorer Park and Training Suite entrances are at ground level, but exit off the car park requires a small removable ramp. The ramp is available at all times on site. 

Entrance gates are a minimum of 1m wide and access locks positioned ~ 1m from ground level. Please note ground covering is fully grassed and uneven in places.
